About Me

My photo
Amy
In April of 2007, my best friend was murdered by a stranger. Five years later, I realized that I'd wished for five years that I'd had someone to guide me on the path of losing a friend. There are self help books and blogs and websites and pamphlets galore about how to survive the loss of a parent or a child or a spouse, etc. But nothing on how to lose someone who is CLOSER than family, but isn't family. An entire genre of literature has been created about the complexity and importance of the friendships between women, but we're left dangling when we lose one another. So, I decided to tell you how I survived. It hasn't always been pretty, but I'm here. And I'm living. And I have new best friends. And I've got Leslie's soul in my heart. And I hope it helps someone.
